Breaking Boundaries: How MetaGait by Qayltech is Revolutionizing Cyber Football for People with Disabilities

Imagine this: A person with a disability running on a football field, lunging forward, scoring goals, and experiencing these emotions and movements physically.  

It seems impossible? Let us tell you how this became possible in Armenia.

What is MetaGait Cyber Football?  

An innovative competition that was held for the first time in Armenia. It combines real physical training with virtual football. People with disabilities use the #MetaGait device, produced by QaylTech – a neurotechnological marvel that allows them to “control” virtual football players.

Who were the participants?

Six soldiers with disabilities, divided into two teams: MetaPlayers and MetaStrikers – teams that proved dreams have no boundaries.

How did the competition take place?

The participants took their places on MetaGait devices, and the world’s first cyber football tournament for people with disabilities using the MetaGait device began. While they were physically training on the device in the real world, they simultaneously competed in a virtual football environment, synchronizing their real steps with the game characters.

Where did the event take place? 

On the shores of Lake Sevan as part of the Seaside Startup Summit, where technology and innovation meet by the sea.

Why is this important?

It shows how technology can remove physical limitations and open up new opportunities for everyone. This is not just a game, but a symbol of hope and possibilities. It’s not only an opportunity for other games, competitions, and tournaments but also a comprehensive method for enhancing brain recovery.

What support did the famous football player show?

Armenian football star Henrikh Mkhitaryan not only supported the event but also awarded the top scorer with a shirt bearing his autograph and best wishes. The shirt was handed over to the boys by David Manoyan, who had also prepared gifts for them.
